Storch Runs in Half Marathon to Benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

April 9, 2006

Many of you may know that my mother, Debby Storch, has bravely battled Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) for the last eighteen months. Her fight inspired my dad, my two aunts, and me to join the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training in January. Team in Training is the largest endurance sports training program in the world; their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s Disease, and myeloma and improve the lives of patients and their famiies.

On April 9th, after several months of training and fundraising, we completed the Spirit of St. Louis Half Marathon. We were proud to compete in this endurance event in honor of my mother, and to reaffirm our commitment to the research that we know will one day wipe out leukemia and all blood cancers.
